This internship provided me with valuable hands-on experience and a better knowledge on how corporates do operate and a wonderful opportunity to learn and gain a better understanding of the cultures of different companies
This was my first group internship experience and it definitely taught me many things from maintaining and building teamwork and communication at all times; to learning from the best professionals in the industry and learning about several sustainable and progressive initiatives of both companies. This experience gave me a chance to be exposed to new things and people that have definitely broadened my capabilities and helped in building my career.
I was able to expose myself to a whole new network of people who helped me become a better version of myself. We were also given the opportunity to interact with individuals who have been very successful in their respective industries, which gave us a gist on how to tackle challenges in the corporate world. We also learnt that in spite of the differences in backgrounds and ideologies people can still work together as one team if trust and mutual respect are established early on
It was a wonderful opportunity to intern with the three corporate giants in Sri Lanka and learn how these companies work and deal with stakeholders. I was also truly honoured to be a part of the CSR initiative where I was able to put myself to the real test in trying to uplift the lives of differently-abled children in Sri Lanka. The internship as a whole covered every aspect and enhanced my knowledge & skills to a very great extent
Before applying for MAS, Dialog & Hemas summer internship programme, I didn’t have an idea of what my dream internship would be like. I have gained a wealth of knowledge during this stint through various initiatives each day
This internship has given me the opportunity to see and experience so much more than I am able to learn in the classroom. This was a great learning experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. Most importantly, the internship has given me a better outlook into what the corporate world offers and has helped me better understand what I would like to pursue as a career
The experience as an intern at MAS, Dialog & Hemas was an important step from a personal and professional point of view. I reinforced my motivation and my enthusiasm to work in the field of apparel while improving my interpersonal and communication skills
The internship included many responsibilities necessary to operate in the corporate sector. Each day was new with many learnings. The internship was a truly worthwhile experience and I feel that it has prepared me well. It definitely gave me a kick start to my professional career
The internship programme was a fantastic experience. Not only did we get great exposure at some of Sri Lanka’s biggest companies, but we also got to spend quality time with some amazing business leaders. The 06 weeks I spent on the programme were a valuable segue way into full-time work after college, and I left having met a bunch of wonderful people who are some of my closest friends, even today
Looking back at the MAS Dialog Summer Internship Programme 2016, I can say that it was one of the most exciting six weeks of my life. Ranging from the various projects, facility walkarounds, learning and development initiative and CEO 'fireside' chats. The programme was designed to provide us with extraordinary exposure to the business world and a taste of what it's like to be on the corporate front lines. I shall be ever grateful for this incredible opportunity, the amazing bunch of friends I met, and the unforgettable memories
